Masterplan for Towneley Park

Commissioned by Burnley Council, The Leisure Consultancy in association with CASS Associates prepared a Masterplan for Towneley Park, an urban park encompassing a historic landscape of parkland, woodland and semi-nautral areas located close to Burnley town centre.
Extending to an area of 460 acres, the Park comprises a mix of heritage including a museum and art gallery - Towneley Hall, formal sport and recreation facilities (e.g. golf; bowling greens + pitch & putt provision), informal recreation provision (e.g. pathways, cycleways, bridleways), hospitality (cafes) and play. A number of events are also promoted through the year.
