Sussex County Cricket Club
Sussex County Cricket Club has appointed The Leisure Consultancy (in association with Drivers Jonas) to conduct a major market and financial feasibility and business planning exercise. This will underpin a masterplan to redevelop the County Ground at Hove.
The goals for the County Ground will be:
• Enlarged ground capacity, with in-built flexibility
• An all year round destination
• Financially sustainable with a positive economic impact in the area
• High design standards and environmentally sustainable
Jim May, SCCC Chairman, said “This is an exciting opportunity for Sussex to work with experienced professionals to produce proposals for a staged redevelopment to be put to the members at the AGM in March 2009. We are looking to have first rate facilities for cricketers and accommodation for 7-10,000 spectators together with commercial and community facilities".
