Arbeia Roman Fort
The Leisure Consultancy will lead a multi-disciplinary team commissioned by South Tyneside Council to carry out a feasibility study into the future development of Arbeia Roman Fort in South Shields, with the aim of significantly raising the visibility and profile of Arbeia as an attraction and education centre.
The vision for the development is “to provide an attraction which makes the most of what the Fort has to offer, to provide a 21st Century interpretive centre for the Fort, enhance the visibility of the museum and raise its profile and integrate the facility into the cultural package that the Borough, Tyne and Wear and the Hadrian’s Wall Partnership has to offer.”
