Holland Park School
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea submitted a planning application for a secondary school site (Holland Park School) in which proposals to demolish the existing school, re-build it and sell part of the site to cross fund the new school were advanced. Although the planning application was approved, there were some objections notably from local residents and Sport England and the application was ‘called in’ by the Secretary of State. As a result The Leisure Consultancy has been asked to prepare a Summary Report advising on the sport and leisure aspects of the development. In particular, this will focus on an assessment of the sports development proposals at Holland Park School with regard to the requirements of PPG 17.
