Feasibility Study/Options Appraisal for future development Of Gosling Sike Farm, a working Organic Farm
Background:
The practice was appointed by Cumbria Wildlife Trust (CWT) to examine the potential development opportunities in terms of visitor access to and enhanced enjoyment of, a working organic farm outside Carlisle in Cumbria, including the provision of a visitor centre and northern base for the CWT.
The aim of the development was to increase the profile of the Trust's work, and in particular to:
- promote organic farming, biodiversity and sustainability,
- become an example of best practice in conservation in the area
- encourage people to care for the environment
- provide an education & visitor resource which would be financially sustainable
