Background:
The Leisure Consultancy was commissioned by Lancaster City Council to provide a review of the current visitor offer in Morecambe town centre as part of the Evidence Base for the emerging Area Action Plan. This desk based & physical audit was augmented by reviewing relevant strategies and visitor data in the context of the wider visitor economy trends to the North West.
The study concluded with comment on the Product & Services; a summary of the Strategic and Catchment Analysis; a Market Overview ; and a Sites Appraisal against which a number of opportunities identified during the process, were reviewed against.
