Reviewing of staffing and programming of the two main leisure centres in East Renfrewshire.
Improving the financial performance of leisure facilities whilst ensuring the programmes are more relevant to local communities, most particularly in relation to health and well-being has been a particular focus for many local authorities in the UK recently. The Leisure Consultancy supported by Deloitte worked with East Renfrewshire Council in reviewing the staffing and programming of the two of the main leisure centres in East Renfrewshire.
Engaging with both management and staff was a crucial part of the project, ensuring 'buy in' for recommendations of introducing new programmes of activity and structural changes.
