Transport for the North with Atkins
Importance and value of the visitor economy across the North of England.
TLC, as part of the Atkins team was commissioned by Transport for the North (TfN) to undertake research and analysis to identify the importance and value of the visitor economy across the North of England. The study considered the role of transport in supporting the visitor economy taking into consideration the very different needs of leisure and business tourism and the contrasting nature of the visitor offer within the North of England. Understanding the impact of Covid-19 on visitor behaviour, the study considered potential transport interventions to stimulate growth of the visitor economy.
