Grosvenor Estates
We were delighted to have been jointly commissioned by Grosvenor and Wrenbridge Estates to conduct a review of the potential to develop a range of sports facilities as part of a new, multi-purpose community stadium planned for Cambridge. The proposed facility will provide a range of much needed and cutting-edge sports facilities for the sports clubs and people of Cambridge, where access to facilities is currently constrained.
The review has involved a detailed examination of the need for facilities in a wide range of sports in this active city, including consultation with Sport England, other governing bodies of sports, the area’s local authorities and extensive engagement with Cambridge’s local sports clubs.
Subsequent to this commission, The Leisure Consultancy has also been asked to review the potential market opportunity to develop commercial leisure facilities, including hotels and conferencing, either as part of, or adjacent to, the proposed community stadium. This exciting development will provide a much-needed sporting and community facility for the Cambridge community and the surrounding catchment area.
